About

Built for traders tired of indicators that repaint

TraderIndicator is a TradingView scanner that surfaces the trade setups worth a closer look, with logic you can read and signals that do not move after the fact.

Why TraderIndicator exists

Most traders have been burned by the same thing at least once. An indicator lights up green in hindsight, the backtest looks flawless, and then in live markets the arrow that seemed to call the top quietly redraws itself two candles later. It never actually fired where the screenshot claimed. That behaviour has a name, repainting, and it is the reason so many people stop trusting tools entirely.

We built TraderIndicator because we wanted the opposite of that. A tool that is honest about what it saw and when it saw it, that shows its reasoning instead of hiding it, and that never pretends a trade was obvious after the fact. If a setup only looks good once you already know the outcome, it was never a signal. It was a story.

What it is

TraderIndicator is a suite of TradingView indicators and a screener that scans crypto, stocks and forex and surfaces the tickers where a setup is forming. It runs inside the charts you already use. It does not place trades, it does not manage a portfolio, and it does not promise a win rate. It points at what the logic considers worth a look and then gets out of your way so you can make the call.

Three commitments define it, and we hold to all three:

  • No repaint. Signals lock on candle close and stay put. What you see in history is what would have printed live, so a backtest is an honest record rather than a flattering one.
  • Documented logic. Every indicator has its reasoning written down in plain language. You can understand why a setup fired before you decide to trust it, rather than following a black box on faith.
  • No profit promises. We do not sell a win rate, a guaranteed return, or a shortcut to easy money. Markets do not work that way, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

How it is built

The engine is written in Pine Script v6 and runs natively on TradingView, on desktop and mobile. There is nothing extra to install and no separate app to trust with your data.

The single most important design decision is when a signal is allowed to fire. Signals lock on candle close. An intrabar move can flicker and tempt you, but the tool waits for the candle to finish before it confirms anything. That is what makes the difference between a marker you can act on and one that vanishes when price reverses. It is slower by design, and that is the point.

When we publish backtest results, we publish the window they were measured over, so the numbers mean something. A result with no stated period, no market and no timeframe is not evidence, and we treat it that way. Past performance and backtested results never guarantee future results, and we would rather say that plainly than bury it.

Analysis tools and education, not financial advice

This is the part we will not soften. TraderIndicator is a set of analysis tools and educational material. It is not financial, investment or trading advice, and nothing it shows you is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. It surfaces where the odds may line up and shows you why, but the decision, the position size and the risk are entirely yours.

Trading involves real risk, including the possible loss of capital. We think the honest thing to do is give you sharper tools and a clearer understanding, then trust you to trade your own account. If you want the full logic behind the signals, the Learn hub breaks down the indicators in plain language so you can judge every setup for yourself.
